The name, the heart behind the work, and how the studio grew from Scripture and gratitude.
Second Song Cottage Co. takes its name from Hannah's story in 1 Samuel.
After years of longing and prayer, Hannah asked the Lord for a child and promised to dedicate him back to Him. When Samuel was born, she kept that promise, bringing him to the house of the Lord in Shiloh after he was weaned. Her story continues with a prayer of praise — a song of gratitude, trust, and triumph after a long season of waiting.
For me, Second Song Cottage Co. is a second song of my own: a creative chapter rooted in faith, gratitude, and the joy of making meaningful things by hand.
Today, Second Song Cottage Co. is a small cottage studio for meaningful handmade goods, created slowly, intentionally, and with care.
